Karen E. Will, 68, of Wambaugh Hollow Road, Berlin, PA, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Meyersdale Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Meyersdale, PA.
Mrs. Will was born at Bedford Hospital on May 4, 1953, the daughter of the late Chester Hillegass and Ida (Hankinson) Hillegass, New Baltimore.
On June 29, 1974, Karen married her high school sweetheart Gregory R. Will at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Baltimore, PA.
She is survived by husband- Gregory Will, Berlin; mother- Ida Hillegass, New Baltimore; son- Gregory S. husband of Becky (Fox) Will, Bel Air, MD.; daughter- Stephanie (Will) Heath widow of Brian Heath, Charlottesville, VA., five grandchildren- Brody, Tressa, Sophie, Clara and Myla, brother- Donald (Carol) Hillegass, Manns Choice; brother- Jeffrey (Brenda) Hillegass, New Baltimore, many nieces and nephews and her special niece- Kelsey Lantz. She was preceded in death by her father and her son-in-law- Brian Heath.
Karen started her LPN career at Bedford Hospital and later worked at Somerset State Hospital, which then became SCI Laurel Highlands-Somerset, where she retired from.
Karen was an amazing wife, mom, meme, sister, aunt, and friend who brought so much happiness to all she met.
Karen could be found outside puttering in her flower beds when the weather was nice. She also enjoyed going on cruises with her beloved husband. Together they went on 14 cruises, and while they were on these trips, they often created new friendships. She also loved visiting their camp in West Virginia and making memories with their many friends there. She cherished spending time with her family at Raystown Lake; creating fond memories with her grandchildren, family, and friends which brought her great joy.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore, PA.
Karen had a lovingly kind personality. She had such a warm and inviting smile that touched many lives. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 10:00AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore with Father Mark Pattock-Celebrant.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Interment at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
