Delores J. Casteel

Delores J. Casteel, 82, of Bedford passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Bedford Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center, Donahue Manor Road, Bedford Pennsylvania.

She was born on June 29, 1940, daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth Fern, England, Wyles.

She is survived by daughters Janet Just, of Bedford; Lisa Bair, of Everett; granddaughter, Miranda Bair, fiancé of Ron Mancuso, of Greensburg Pennsylvania; and grandson, Kyle Bair, of Jeanette PA; sister, Doris Bly, of Indiana state. She was preceded in death by son, Norman Casteel, and sister Donna Bennett, also formally married to Joseph Casteel of Bedford who survives her.

In her lifetime she worked at Hedstrom as a seamstress, an avid bowler who had over 300 trophies and enjoyed doing cross stitch, and cross word searches. She was a lifetime member of the Snake Spring Church of the Brethren, a member of the Bedford Moose, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and Military mothers.

A visitation will be held Monday, April 3, 2023 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 9-10 AM at the Snake Spring Valley Church of the Brethren, Everett.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 10 AM at Snake Spring Valley Church of the Brethren with Pastor David Grimes officiating.

Interment will be at Ritchey Cemetery, Snake Spring.
