Barbara Ann (Bingham) Shippey

Barbara Ann Shippey, 84, of Glade Pike, Manns Choice went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Donahoe Manor, Bedford.

Barbara was born on June 7, 1938, in Bedford County, daughter of the late Charles and Martha (McGee) Bingham.

On June 3, 1956, she married Thomas R. “Tom” Shippey.

Along with her husband Tom she is survived by daughter, Susan wife of Brian Leppert, Bedford; son, Jeff husband of Lisa (Harclerode) Shippey, Manns Choice; 6 grandchildren, Jason, Jared, Matt, Adam, Jessica and Scott, 12 great grandchildren and brother, Bernard husband of Linda Bingham, Boyertown. Along with her parents Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Bingham.

Barbara was a homemaker and was also a Tax Auditor.

She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Dry Ridge. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.

Barbara was a loving and kindhearted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg and from 10-11AM on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Trinity United Church of Christ-Dry Ridge with a Funeral Service at 11AM with Pastor Cheryl Ward officiating.

Interment at Dry Ridge Cemetery.
