Yvonne R. Wentz

Yvonne R. Wentz, 85, of New Paris, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, PA.

Yvonne was born in Buffalo Mills on August 13, 1939, daughter of the late John and Helen (Miller) Miller.

On September 27, 1958, she married her husband Ivan L. Wentz, who preceded her in death on May 22, 2010.

Yvonne is survived by son- John R. husband of Angela (Marinari) Wentz, of Taos, NM; daughter- Kathy R. wife of Michael Swartzwelder, of Everett; granddaughter- Samantha wife of Bradley Poole, of Vintondale; granddaughter- Brittany wife of Camden Gentry, of Everett; four great-grandchildren: Baker, Evelyn, Raia, and Kyla; sister- Elaine widow of Earl Shroyer, of Hyndman; and special friend- Jim Miller. Yvonne is preceded in death by grandson- Andrew Wentz and sister- Anna Miller.

Yvonne was a member of Dunnings Creek Church of Brethren and was the church organist. She was a finisher at Davis and Wentz Hickory Furniture, she also worked at Farm Bureau and at Chestnut Ridge High School as a secretary, cook and custodian.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 4-8 PM and on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 10-11 AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Bedford.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 11 AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Bedford with Pastor David Grimes officiating.

Interment will be at Bedford County Memorial Park, Bedford.
