Mrs. Wilma Elizabeth Weyant, 76, of Martinsburg, formerly of Schellsburg and Bedford, died at 1:50 AM, Friday, September 16th, 2011 at The Village at Morrisons Cove.

Mrs. Weyant was born in E. St. Clair Twp. on Tuesday, October 30, 1934,  the daughter of the late G. Ira and Irene (Mowry) Wright.

On December 4, 1950, in Cumberland, MD, she married Lawrence "Baldy" Weyant.  He preceded her in death on January 14, 1986.

She is survived by  Son- Rev. Barry L. husband of  Connie (Grine) Weyant, Glasgow; Step-Grandson- Bret  Buterbaugh, State College; Step-Grandson- Brad  Buterbaugh, Bedford; Sister- Evelyn widow of  Wilbur "Bud" Hoover, New Paris. She is also survived by three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and six great grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren.
Wilma is also survived by four sisters-in-law, Joyce (Rayford) Wright, Peggy (Arch) Weyant, Anna wife of Joesph A. Miller and Dorcas wife of Chester Elliott and a brother-in-law, William (Grace) Miller and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen, a son, Larry, sister, Mable Ellis, great grandson, Kaleb Weyant and a daughter-in-law, Barbara (Clapper) Weyant

Wilma was a former member of the Central City Assembly of God Church.  She was employed at Bestform in Windber as a seamstress and worked at several Bedford restaurants as a waitress.  Wilma, her husband and son co-founded L. Weyant Trucking at Reels Corner.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 19th 2011 with her son,  Rev. Barry Weyant officiating.

Interment will be held at Schellsburg Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
