Mr. William B. "Bill" Showalter, Jr., 70, of Juliana St., Bedford, died Wednesday, May 4th, 2016 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Showalter was born in Bedford on Tuesday, June 5, 1945, the son of the late William B. Showalter, Sr. and H. Louise (Howsare) Showalter.
On June 19, 1965, he married Sylvia Kay (Brallier) Showalter. In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- William B. "Bill" Showalter, III husband of Sandra (Williams) Showalter, Annapolis, MD; Son- Tracey A. Showalter husband of Terri (Hainaut) Showalter, Centerville, MD; Grandchildren- Domonic, Danielle, Angela, Emma & Sophie; Great Grandchildren- Cash, Olivia & Matthew; Sister- Nancy Swartzwelder wife of Harry Swartzwelder, Everett; Brother- Keith Showalter husband of Penny Showalter, Everett. He was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Kanouff.
Bill was a member of the Bedford United Methodist Church, where he was very active in church activities. He was a mason by trade and was a member of the Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local #9 of Western Pennsylvania. Bill was a golfer and enjoyed going to Florida with his wife. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and shooting sporting clays. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and he will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 11th, 2016 at Bedford United Methodist Church, Bedford with Rev. Jeff Welsch officiating.
Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.
