William L. "Smitty" Smith

William L. "Smitty" Smith, 79, of Adams Run Road passed away at home on Sunday, June 5, 2022.

Mr. Smith was born on December 25, 1942, in East St. Clair Twp., son of the late Warren G. and LaVern C. (Crissey) Smith.

On July 1, 1984, Bill married the Marlene K. (Sheirer) Smith.

Along with his wife Marlene he is survived by daughter- Heather L. Suffecool, Schellsburg and 3 grandchildren- Duquene, Dominick and Raina Suffecool, and brother- Robert G. husband of Sandra (Diehl) Smith, Schellsburg.

Smitty was a very hardworking person, for 36 years he worked for Westinghouse now Bedford Materials and was also the owner/operator of Smith Septic Service for 58 years.

Bill enjoyed hunting and antique cars but most of all he enjoyed time with his family. He enjoyed going to the races with his granddaughter Raina and he took great pride in showing his grandsons Duquene and Dominick the Septic Service business and was super proud to have them working by his side. Bill loved his Septic business, it wasn't a job to him it was more of a hobby. Bill's family was very important to him and he was a great role model to them all.

Bill was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.

A Private Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg with Pastor James Espenshade officiating.

Interment at Fishertown Cemetery.
