William L. Ritchey

William L. Ritchey, 77, of Point Road, Bedford, PA, went to his eternal home with Jesus on Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital, Snake Spring Township, PA.

Mr. Ritchey was born in Napier Township, Bedford County, PA, on March 19, 1944, son of the late William E. and Fern J. (Foor) Ritchey.

On Dec. 23, 1966, William married Alverta M. (Clark) Ritchey.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter- Jennifer wife of Tom Stiffler, Bedford; son- William J. Ritchey, Bedford; grandson- Thomas L. Stiffler; grandson- William L. Stiffler and fiancé Sara Rayhart. William was preceded in death by sister- Norma Jean Mussleman.

William retired from farm equipment sales.

William enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing. He enjoyed horses and horse racing as well as NASCAR and drag racing. He liked football and was a Dallas Cowboys fan. William enjoyed going to auctions. He was a hardworking and kind man who brought great joy to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by all.

He was a member of Real Life Church, Bedford, PA.

Friends will be received on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.

A funeral service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, PA, at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2021, with Pastor Brian Swain officiating.

Interment will be held privately at the family cemetery.
