Mr. William C. Plummer, 86, of Corley Road, Manns Choice (New Buena Vista), formerly of State College, passed away Monday, July 14th, 2014 at his home.
Mr. Plummer was born in Bedford on Thursday, April 5, 1928, the son of the late Regis and Mary Irene (Drenning) Plummer.
On November 22, 1980, he married Arlene (Kennedy) Plummer. In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Rudy husband of Judy Plummer, Bedford; Son- Ron husband of Sue Plummer, Everett; Daughter- Deanna wife of Bill Lankey, Buffalo Mills; Daughter- Donna Meek, State College; Son- Tom husband of Robin Plummer, Bellefonte; Daughter- Angela wife of James Patane, Wells, NV; Sister- Mary Riehl, Montana; Brother- Robert Plummer, Georgia. He is also survived by several grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Meek, two brothers, Ralph Plummer & Jerry Plummer and by a sister, Sarah Wilt.
For 65 years, Bill was employed as a truck driver for Dibert Motor Homes in Everett and Penn State Mobile Homes in State College. He was a member of the State College Masonic Lodge #700 F&AM. Bill enjoyed hunting and NASCAR. In his free time built race cars for drivers at the Bedford Speedway, best known for the work he did on the #90 car.
A Memorial Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 18th, 2014 with Pastor Pat Murphy officiating.
Friends are invited to call on Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home in Schellsburg.
