William C. Moore, 93, of Valley Road, Fishertown died at 8:49PM, Monday, October 28, 2019 at Allegheny Lutheran Home, Hollidaysburg.
Mr. Moore was born in Bedford on December 30, 1925, son of the late James Ira and Gladys Virginia (Diehl) Moore.
On September 26, 1964 William married Ethel L. (Winegardner) Moore.
In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Craig husband of Tamera (Hill) Moore, Vernon, NY; Grandchildren Kaylene, Kaleb, Aaron and Malinda all of NY; Brother- James Robert Moore; Brother- Jack Moore; Sister- Nancy wife of Allen Barefoot, IN; Sister- Connie wife of Jim Harbaugh, Fishertown. William was preceded in death by his first Wife- June (Worrell) Moore and Son- Lonnie Moore, Sister-Betty (George) Shaffer, Sister- Shirley (Donald) Sheirer and Brother-Tom (Sandy) Moore.
He attended Bedford High School and then served in the U.S. Navy in the Philippines in the Navy Sea Bees as Seaman 2nd Class during World War II.
William retired from Berwind Railway Service in Hollidaysburg after 28 years..
He was a member of Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church.
William loved hunting and fishing.
Friends will be received on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 6-8PM at Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church.
A Funeral Service will be held at Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church, New Paris, PA at 11:00AM on Monday, November 4, 2019 with Pastor Daniel Oldham officiating.
Interment at Stone Church Cemetery, Fishertown.
