Mrs. Wilda Lee (Barnes) Dailey, 85, of Quaker Valley Road, Alum Bank, peacefully passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.
Wilda was born in Brandonville, WV on August 17, 1935; daughter of the late Glenn and Helen (Younkin) Barnes.
On October 28, 1953 Wilda married Charles "Bud" Dailey. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2018.
Wilda is survived by son- Vaughn, Houston, PA; son - Dana and wife, Deborah, New Paris, PA; son - Dale and wife, Georgia, Austin, TX; daughter - Nina, Aiken, SC; grandchildren - Jesse and wife, Ange; Danielle, and Dylan; and step-grandchildren and great grandchildren. Wilda was also preceded in death by her brother- Wendell Barnes.
Wilda was a member of the Alum Bank United Methodist Church; where she served as President of the UM Women and where she taught Sunday School. She was a former member of Chestnut Ridge Ambulance Association and served on the Alum Bank Election Board.
Wilda was an avid cat lover and enjoyed collecting and restoring antique bicycles. She loved the outdoors and working in her garden. Wilda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, neighbor, and friend. She was a woman of faith and lived a life serving others. Her kindness and her compassion for others will be greatly missed by all.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasantville.
A Funeral Service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc, Pleasantville at 10:00AM on Thursday, September 17th, with Pastor Shane Siciliano officiating.
Interment will be held at Salem-Thomas Cemetery Brandonville, WV.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Wilda to Alum Bank United Methodist Church, 208 Locust Street, P.O. Box 27, Pleasantville, PA 15521.
