W. Clifford Elder

Mr. W. Clifford  Elder, 92, of Hyndman Road, Buffalo Mills, died Sunday, July 17th, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Elder was born in Harrison Township on Friday, April 25, 1924,  the son of the late Walter C. and Alma (Horn) Elder.

On June 10, 1978, he married Inez L. (Woodring) Elder.

In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- John Clifford Elder husband of Nancy Elder, Atlantic City, NJ; Daughter- Amy L. wife of Van McCollum, Kiawah Island, SC; Step Son- William E. Langham husband of Linda Langham, Cherry Hill, NJ; Step Daughter- Pamela J. wife of Steve Ross, Duncansville; Step Daughter- Lori A. wife of Erich Stotler, Duncansville; Step Son-in-Law- Wayne Rice, Altoona; Sister- Evelyn Wilkins, Cherry Hill, NJ; Brother- Robert Elder, Burkburnett, TX. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren,  one great great grandson.  He was preceded in death by a step daughter, Martha Rice, four sisters, Isabel Elder, Emily Elder, Olive Stouffer & Edith Lewis and by three brothers, George Elder, John Elder & an infant, Richard.

Clifford was a member of the Buffalo Mills United Methodist Church.  He was employed for 35 years as a tire wrapper for Kelly-Springfield Tire in Cumberland, MD.  Clifford was a lifelong farmer, a self employed electrician, and a former Rural Mail Carrier for the Buffalo Mills area.  He served as a past president of the Manns Choice Senior Center and he loved to travel.  Clifford was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and he will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held at Buffalo Mills United Methodist Church, at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 21st, 2016 with Pastor James Golla & Rev. Donald Henderson officiating.

Interment will be held at Dry Ridge Cemetery, Manns Choice.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Clifford to the Buffalo Mills United Methodist Church, 164 Church St., Buffalo Mills, PA 15534
