Wayne Earnest

Wayne  Earnest, 81, of Ferguson Road, Schellsburg died at 12:37 PM, Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona.

Mr. Earnest was born in Napier Twp. on May 7, 1938, son of the late Floyd and S. Evelyn (Wonders) Earnest.

On March 22, 1958 Wayne married Anna M. (Wagoner) Earnest.

In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- David husband of  Tina (Foor) Earnest, Fishertown; Son- Daniel husband of  Peggy (Shelton) Earnest, Bedford; Daughter- Diane Decker, Indiana; Daughter- Deborah Weyant, New Paris; Brother- Dean Earnest, Bedford; Sister- Shirley Ritchey, Everett; Sister- Carol Weyant, Sarasota, FL. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.  Wayne is preceded in death by Brothers- Harry Irvin, Roy Clair, and Dale F. Earnest, Sisters- Pauline Skok and Madeline Mussante and an Infant Sister- Mary Jean.

He was employed in the research and development department at Hedstrom for 31 years. Together with his wife they owned the Frosty Bear Ice Cream Stand in Schellsburg for 16 years.

Wayne was a member of the NRA and also a member of the Everett Sportsman Club where he did target shooting and muzzleloader hunting.

He also enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and pitching horse shoes.

Services will be held privately by the family.
