Victoria S. "Vicki" (Spencer) Pembrooke

Mrs. Victoria S. "Vicki"  Pembrooke, 62, of Sunnyside Road, Bedford, passed away Thursday, April 12th, 2018  at UPMC Altoona Hospital, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Mrs. Pembrooke was born in Everett on March 22, 1956,   the daughter of  Louise (Ferry) Spencer of Manns Choice and the late  Gerald L. Spencer.

On October 17, 1992, she married Roger E. "Gene" Pembrooke.  He preceded her in death on November 30, 2011.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by  Daughter- Christy wife of Chad Clark, Alum Bank; Grandchildren- Lily & Lincoln; Sister- Lorie wife of Steve Wertz, Schellsburg; Sister- Lisa wife of Gary Harbaugh, Manns Choice; Sister- Amy wife of Lane Loya, Hollidaysburg; Special Niece- Amanda Knisely, Osterburg; Nieces and Nephews- Josh, Ivy, Violet, Kyla, Cole, Kate, Greg, Ashley & Jesse; Brother-in-Law- Don husband of Jane Gutheridge, Broad Top.  Vicki was also survived by Christi Thomas of Everett, who was a daughter of her heart, three step children, a number of step grandchildren and by a beloved dog, Mollie.  In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandchild.

Vicki was a member of the Claysburg Bible Church and a 1974 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School.  She was formerly employed as a secretary at ALSM and more recently was a tax preparer at Liberty Tax Services in Bedford.  For years she sold Longaberger Baskets and often referred to herself as a "Basket Case".  Vicki was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates and Penn State Football fan.  She was very active in the American Cancer Society, participating in the Relay for Life.  And along with her family and friends, she also participated in Making Strides on "Team Victorious".  The most important thing in Vicki's life was her family.  She loved any time spent with them, especially her grandchildren.  Vicki was a wonderful daughter, a loving mother and grandmother, a devoted sister and aunt and a loyal friend.  She will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 17th, 2018 with Pastor Keith Showalter officiating.

Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.

Friends are invited to call on Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Bedford.
