Vernon D. Delasko

Mr. Vernon D. Delasko, 75, of W. John St., Bedford,died at 11:30 PM, Friday, September 19th, 2014 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home.

Mr. Delasko was born in Schellsburg on Wednesday, October 19, 1938,  he was the son of the late Frank and Pearl (Horne) Delasko.

In 1970, he married Gloria J. Biddle.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Robert R. Delasko, Bedford; Daughter- Wanda J. Reffner, Claysburg; Daughter- Sally A. wife of  Scott Weyant, Schellsburg; Brother- Russell Delasko, Florida; Brother- David Delasko, Schellsburg; Sister- Joyce Delasko, Schellsburg. He is also survived by six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Hunter and by a brother, Wilbur Delasko.

Vernon was a member of the Bedford United Methodist Church.  He retired from Blue Triangle in Everett and enjoyed watching NASCAR and was an avid outdoorsman.

A Memorial Service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 25th, 2014 with Pastor Jeff Welsch officiating.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home in Bedford.
