Verna M. Malony, 105, formerly of Cumberland, MD, died Friday, October 13, 2017 at Donahoe Manor.
Mrs. Malony was born on April 10, 1912 in Cumberland, MD, the daughter of the late T. Vernon and Lola E. (Davis) Fletcher.
On February 14, 1958, she married Thomas A. Malony in Baltimore, MD. He preceded her in death on December 12, 2005.
Verna was a member of the Bedford Nazarene Church and the Gideon Society. She graduated from Allegany High School, Catherman’s Business School and the University of Baltimore. Mrs. Malony was a Certified Professional Secretary. She was a retiree of the Maryland and American Bible Society, where she worked as a secretary and bookkeeper.
Verna was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth L. Fletcher.
In accordance with Verna’s wishes, there will be no funeral services.
