Vaughn E. "Sonny" Way

Mr. Vaughn E. "Sonny"  Way, 80, of Oldtown Road, Fishertown, died at 9:30 PM, Saturday, November 1st, 2014 at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin.

Mr. Way was born in E. St. Clair Township on Saturday, July 21, 1934,  the son of the late Cloyd and Sarah (Oster) Way.

On September 24, 1955, he married Dorothy E. (Horner) Way.  She preceded him in death on November 27, 2009.

He is survived by  Granddaughter-  Tiffany Parker, Pittsburgh; Granddaughter-  Stephanie Way, Alum Bank; Sister- Anna Louise "Betty" Hoover, Bedford.  He was preceded in death by a son, Donald V. Way, six brothers, Merle, Harold, Warren, Grant, Cloyd Jr. & Paul and by five sisters, Lois Weyant, Marian Mullin, Effie Kline, Ova Feathers & Geraldine Way.

Sonny worked as a route salesman for the Harris-Boyer Bakery and retired from Hedstrom Corporation in Bedford as a pressman.  Sonny was a member of the Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church and the Woodmen of the World, won an award for 50 years of continuous voting record and was a longtime radio listener.

A Funeral Service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc, Pleasantville at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, November 5th,  2014 with Pastor Daniel Oldham officiating.

Interment will be held at Fishertown Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home in Pleasantville.
