Mrs. Ursa Pearl Sprigg, 92, of Pennknoll Road,  Everett, died Saturday, August 25th, 2012 at Pennknoll Village.

Mrs. Sprigg was born in Clearville on Saturday,  October 11, 1919,  the daughter of the late Joshua Roy and Ethel Pearl (Akers) Hixon.

She was married to Shannon L. Sprigg.  He preceded her in death on May 27, 1961.

She is survived by  Daughter- Thelma widow of  David Boore, Bedford; Daughter- Margaret "Maggie" wife of  Ted Grubb, Bedford; Son- Dale husband of  Rheda (Ritchey) Sprigg, Bedford; Son- Robert husband of  Vicki (Dishong) Sprigg, Barhamsville, VA; Son- David husband of  Jo Ellen (Whetstone) Sprigg, Dillsburg; Sister- Nancy Casteel, Bedford; Sister- Joan Porter, Rainsburg; Step Brother- Melvin Wright, Bedford; Step Brother- Kenneth Wright, Bedford. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren,  20 great great grandchildren.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Glenn Sprigg and Charles Sprigg, a granddaughter, Debra Sprigg, two sisters, Evelene Calhoun and Mary Hall, son-in-law, Ted Wertz, and step mother, Helen Wright Hixon.

Ursa was a homemaker and a member of the Everett Church of God.  She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held  at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 28th, 2012 with Rev. William Kisner and Rev. D. Lloyd Abbott officiating.

Interment will be held at  Burning Bush Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Monday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
