Thomas A. Smith

Mr. Thomas A. Smith, 66, Alum Bank, formerly of Rosedale (Baltimore), went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, January 24th, 2016 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

Mr. Smith was born in Baltimore, MD on Monday, May 23, 1949,  the son of the late Lewis A. and Jessie L. (Sheean) Smith.

On November 14, 1972, he married Mary "Kathy" Smith.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Patrick W. Smith, Sr. husband of Jennifer (Feathers) Smith; Daughter- Jennifer L.  wife of Troy R. Mickey; Brother- Gary L. Smith. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Patrick W. Smith, Jr., Kayla A. Mickey, MaKayla N. Feathers & Samantha M. Smith. In addition to his parents, was preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas Smith, Jr. and a brother, Lewis A. Smith, Jr.

Tom loved to spend time with his family and watch his grandchildren grow.  He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and listening to Christian radio.  Tom was a jack-of-all trades and loved to drink coffee.  He worked for Reliable Contractors for many years.  Tom also drove truck for International Petroleum and Spirit Services for years. He knew the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.  Tom was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother & friend.  He will be very missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasantville at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 29th, 2016 with Evangelist Harold Wallace officiating.

Interment will be held at Pleasantville Cemetery, Alum Bank.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Pleasantville.
