Mrs. Thelma L. Davis, 92, of The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg, formerly of Burnt House Road, Imler, died at 4:30 PM, Wednesday, March 6th, 2013 at Altoona Hospital.

Mrs. Davis was born in Lincoln Township on Sunday, December 26, 1920,  the daughter of the late Warren and Hattie Rebecca (Fickes) Claycomb.

On September 2, 1939, she married S. Edgar Davis.  He preceded her in death on September 5, 2008.

She is survived by  Daughter- Beverly M. wife of  Robert Bechtel, Curryville; Daughter- Nancy D. wife of  R. Perry Cessna, Woodland. She is also survived by five grandchildren, June Kocher, Todd & Kelly Bechtel, Anita Kissinger and Bobbi Howsare and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Corle

Mrs. Davis was a member of the Weyant United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the choir, served as Church Secretary and was a Sunday School Teacher for young adults.  Thelma was a homemaker who worked for the Chestnut Ridge School District as a teacher's aide and a secretary.  She enjoyed spending time with family at their get-togethers.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Weyant United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 10th,  2013 with Pastor Gary Blankley officiating.

Interment will be held at  Bedford County Memorial Park.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at the church.
