S. Wilbert Karns

S. Wilbert  Karns, 90, of Miller Farm Road, New Paris, went to his eternal home with Jesus on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Donahoe Manor, Bedford Twp., PA.

Mr. Karns was born in Clearville, PA on September 22, 1931, son of the late Simon P. and Olive Ethel (Bequeath) Karns.

On May 12, 1954 Wilbert married Shirley (Mickle) Karns.

In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Alan husband of  Karen (Ressler) Karns, Bedford; Son- W. Kirk husband of  Barb (Stufft) Karns, Everett; Grandchildren Kerry Noel, Jason Karns, Matthew Karns and Jessica Dodson; Great-grandchildren Kendall Noel, Jarret Karns and Caden Dodson.  Wilbert was preceded in death by sister-Marie Greenawalt and brother- Robert Mellot.

Mr. Karns served his County in the Army during the Korean War.

Wilbert was a self-employed truck driver and he also drove bus for Bollman Bus for many years.

He was a member of Everett Church of God.

Wilbert was a member of the Bedford American Legion Post 113.

He was a kind-hearted man who will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

A Private Funeral Service will be held with Pastor William Kisner officiating.

Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park.

Military Rites accorded by Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
