S. Roy Corle, 63, of Egolf Road, Bedford died unexpectedly, Sunday, March 23rd, 2014 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Corle was born at Nason Hospital in Roaring Spring on Thursday, August 24, 1950, he was the son of Sheldon R. and Joyce L. (Duffy) Corle.
On November 27, 1982 he married Alice (Kuchemba) Corle.
In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by Son- Alexander Corle, at home; Sister- Brenda wife of George McKinsey, Dover; Brother- Rodney husband of Sheri Corle, New Paris; Sister- Tammie wife of Craig Hess, Schellsburg; Brother- Dana husband of Paula Corle, Fishertown.
Roy was a member of the St. Peters Lutheran Church in Osterburg. He retired on January 1, 2013 from LB Foster's after 38 years of employment. He was a member of the Iron Workers Shop Local #527. Roy was an avid music lover and a talented musician, playing bass with his brother Dana in Midnight Rodeo since 1998. He was the owner of SRC Barkers, an amplifier manufacturer and was a member of the Bedford Moose Lodge.
A funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bedford at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 27th, 2014 with Rev. Raymond Short officiating.
Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park, Bedford.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford and Thursday 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the church.
