Simon Henry Mock

Mr. Simon Henry Mock, 87, of Blossom Lane, Schellsburg, died at 6:05 AM, Thursday, May 29th, 2014 at his home,.

Mr. Mock was born in E. St. Clair Township on Sunday, February 27, 1927, the son of the late George Henry and Margaret (Helzel) Mock.

On June 2, 1948, he married Cecily Mae "Charlotte" (Bax) Mock.  She preceded him in death on March 16, 2012.

He is survived by  Son- George H. husband of  Kimberly (Cox) Mock, Bedford; Son- Ricky L. Mock and fiancee Belinda Ott, Schellsburg; Sister- Dorothy Stutzman, Carlsbad, CA. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Joshua Crowley, Christopher Crowley and fiancee Sarah Dull and Heather Carson and five great grandchildren, Summer, Elizabeth, Andrew, Jordan & Landen. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael, a sister, Mary Harbaugh and a half sister, Virginia Creps.

Simon was a member of the United Church of Schellsburg.  He was a farmer and worked at the Carl Dibert Feed Mill and was a truck driver.  Simon was also a former E. St. Clair Township Supervisor.

A Funeral Service will be held at Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church, New Paris at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 2nd, 2014 with Pastor Dan Oldham officiating.

Interment will be held at Fishertown Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the church in New Paris.
