Shirley H. (Logsdon) Smith-Wilson

Mrs. Shirley H. Smith-Wilson, 74, of Tulls Hill Road, Manns Choice died Tuesday, January 1st, 2013 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Smith-Wilson was born in Napier Township on Sunday, December 11, 1938,  the daughter of the late Dewain and Hazel (Bingham) Logsdon.

On December 10, 1955, she married Jesse M. Smith, Jr.  He preceded her in death on May 12, 1978.


She is survived by  Daughter- Wanda S. (Smith) wife of  Robert Holland, Bedford; Daughter- Yvonne L. (Smith) wife of  Clyde Gouker, Clairton; Son- Jesse D. Smith, Lynchburg, SC; Son- Randy L husband of  Linda (Ickes) Smith, Alum Bank; Brother- Dewain Logsdon, Jr., Manns Choice; Brother- Charles Logsdon, Overton, TX. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Davis

Shirley was a member of the Manns Choice Church of God.  She worked at Hedstrom Corporation in Bedford.  Shirley was a volunteer at the New Paris Food Bank and was a member of the Schellsburg VFW Post #4440 Ladies Auxiliary.

A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 5th, 2013 with Rev. Richard Whetstone officiating.

Interment will be held at  Fishertown Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
