Shirley Doris (Hillegass) McIntyre

Shirley Doris McIntyre, 82, of Old State Road,  Bedford died Thursday, February 20, 2020 at home.

Mrs. McIntyre was born in Bedford on November 13, 1937,  daughter of the late Russell A. and Lucinda (Ducan) Hillegass.

On October 6, 1981 Shirley married George A. McIntyre.

In addition to her husband she is survived by Son- Kevin, Sr. husband of  Theresa  Shomo, Bedford; Son- Kenneth Shomo, Meadville, PA; Son- Melvin husband of  Virginia Shomo, Everett; Grandchildren Missy, LPDO, David, Daniel, Alisha, KeeShawn, Mya, Margo, Ashley, Kevin Jr., Kaylee, Tyler; Great-grandchildren Adrean, Peyton, Ellianna, Andreya, Jameson, Jaxon, Ava, Alaunna, Sophia, Carson, Bella, Adalynn, Laraina, Liam, Lane and Adaleigh; Brother- William Hillegass, Schellsburg; Brother- Carl Hillegass, Bedford; Brother- Richard Berkebile, Central City; Brother- Galen McDaniel, Fishertown.  Shirley was preceded in death by son-Christopher Shomo, daughter-Cynthia Williams, daughter-Donna Day, Sisters- Dora Williams and Viola Labuda, Brother- Harry Hillegass, Grandson-Eric Williams and Great-Grandson Andre' Ramirez.

Shirley was a housewife and enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, puzzle books, and Gospel Bluegrass music.

She was a member of  Bedford County Christian Church.

Shirley will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Friends will be received on Sunday, February 23, 2020 from 2-5 PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 12:00PM on Monday, February 24, 2020  with Pastor Bill Defibaugh, Jr. officiating.

Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park.
