Shirley A. (Shippey) Lohr
September 17, 1938 — April 12, 2015
Mrs. Lohr was born in Juniata Township on Saturday, September 17, 1938, the daughter of the late John A. and Violet M. (Myers) Shippey.
On August 21, 1958, she married Dean I. Lohr. He preceded her in death on February 28, 2012.
She is survived by Daughter- Betsy A. wife of Michael Baronak, Buffalo Mills; Grandson- Michael Dean Baronak; Sister- Eileen wife of Clarence "Arch" Whetstone, Bedford; Niece- Dena Leonard Whetstone; Nephew- Kevan Whetstone; Great Niece- Arah Leonard.
Shirley was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church in Everett. She was a seamstress and was previously employed at Cogan's Shoe Store and the Christian Book Store in Bedford. She also worked at GC Murphy''s in Bedford and at the Telephone Office in Schellsburg. Shirley loved horses and gardening and she was an excellent baker.
Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and she will be greatly missed. .
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 16th, 2015 with Jim Miller officiating.
Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at the funeral home in Schellsburg.
