Shirley A. (Davis) Barefoot

Mrs. Shirley A. Barefoot, 73, of Quaker Valley Road, Alum Bank, died at 5:40 AM, Thursday, November 6th, 2014 at Health South in Altoona.

Mrs. Barefoot was born in Lincoln Township on Monday, April 21, 1941,  the daughter of the late Chester and Daisy (Claycomb) Davis.

On May 20, 1960, she married Leonard F. Barefoot.  He preceded her in death on November 29, 1999.

She is survived by  Daughter- Rhonda L. wife of  Galen Miller, New Paris; Daughter- Kelly S. widow of  William Hechler, Bedford; Son- Leonard A. husband of  Kristina (Dull) Barefoot, Alum Bank; Son- Jamey A. Barefoot, New Paris; Sister- Zelda Palya, Gilbert; Sister- Donna Lehman, Osterburg. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Galen Miller Jr., Brittany Elbin, Tiffany Miller, Ashley Hechler & Mariah Barefoot, and one great granddaughter, Clara Miller. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene Davis & Gary Davis.

Shirley was a homemaker and attended the Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church.  She was a member of the Longwood Gardens in Kennettt Square,  loved her flower garden and enjoyed baking.  Shirley will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc, Pleasantville at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 9th, 2014 with Pastor Daniel Oldham officiating.

Interment will be held at  Pleasantville Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Pleasantville
