Shelby J. (McCreary) Horn
May 18, 1943 — April 19, 2016
Mrs. Horn was born in Shade Township on Tuesday, May 18, 1943, the daughter of the late Emmett W. "Chub" and Mildred (Hinson) McCreary.
On June 2, 1963, she married Ardell S. Horn.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by Son- Jeffrey L. husband of Amy L. (Rose) Horn, Schellsburg; Grandchildren- Levi, Kirsten, Miranda & Addison; Sister- Karen Sue wife of Howard Matthews, Davidsville; Friend- Mary Louise Lewis. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Horn.
Shelby was a member of the Christ Victory Church in New Buena Vista. She was a salesperson for the former Wolf Furniture Store in Bedford for 23 years and then for Helig-Myers Furniture Store for 8 years. Shelby was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 2:30 PM on Friday, April 22nd, 2016 with Rev. Ruth Shaver officiating.
Interment will be held at Schellsburg Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Schellsburg.
