Sandra Lee (Carney) James

Mrs. Sandra Lee James, 75, of River View Road, Everett, died Friday, March 2nd, 2018 at her home.

Mrs. James was born in Bedford on April 22, 1942,  the daughter of the late George and Catherine (Siefert) Carney.

On June 1, 1994, she married Harold A. "Jesse" James.

In addition to her husband she is survived by Daughter- Stacy Grimes, Schellsburg; Daughter- Shari Grube, Bedford; Step Son- Raymond L. James, MI; Step Daughter- Joni L. Mezeske, MI; Step Son- Ronald G. James, MI; Step Son- Robin Charles husband of Julie James, MI; Step Son- Rick J. James, MI; Step Son- Randy James, MI.  and the following grandchildren: Katie, Ian, Travis, Braedyn and Cameryn and by a great grandson, Kyle.  Sandy is also survived by a number of step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shelia Ann Burkhead and by an infant daughter.

Sandy attended school in Altoona and received her Medical Secretary Diploma.  She  was employed for many years as a bartender at the Hillcrest Hotel in Bedford and then as a prep cook at Hoss's Restaurant in Carlisle.  Sandy loved to crotchet and enjoyed submitting her work to the Bedford County Fair each year.  Her greatest joy came from taking care of her family.  Sandy was an amazing wife, a loving mother and grandmother and a devoted friend.  She will be greatly missed.

Services for Sandy will be held privately by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.
