Sandra M. (Butler) Gunsallas

Mrs. Sandra M. Gunsallus, 73, of E.  Pitt Street, Bedford, formerly of Quaker Valley Road, New Paris, died Thursday, December 29th, 2016 at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg.

Mrs. Gunsallus was born in Baltimore, MD on Monday, August 16, 1943,  the daughter of the late Charles R. Butler, Jr. and Bernice I. (Barnard) Butler.

She is survived by  Sister- Candy wife of Ronnie Johncour, New Paris; Brother- Randy Butler, Vero Beach, FL; Brother- Robert Butler; Favored Niece- Mandy wife of Chase May, New Paris; Favored Nephew- Cameron Johncour, New Paris; Great Niece- Abigail "Sweet Pea", who was the light of Sandy's life and her Uncle  & Aunt- Norman and Doris Barnard, West Virginia.

Sandra was a member of the Manns Choice United Methodist Church, where she served as the co-finance officer and was a member of the Helping Hand Ladies Group .  She worked at GC Murphy's/Ames Department Stores in Bedford for 33 years.  Sandra went on to retire from the Indiana Murphy's Mart.  She also worked in the Chestnut Ridge Middle School Office for seven years. Sandy enjoyed crocheting, crafts, reading and spending time with her family.  She was a wonderful sister, aunt and friend and she will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2017 with Pastor James Gallo & Pastor Eric Larson officiating.

Interment will be held at  Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Manns Choice.

Friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 at the Geisel Funeral Home in Schellsburg.
