Ruth M. Felix, 90, formerly of New Paris, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Midtown Oaks, Altoona.
Ruth was born in Pleasant Gap on July 21, 1933, daughter of the late George and Helene (Watson) Magargel.
On October 10, 1954, she married her husband Archie Felix, who preceded her in death on May 17, 2009.
She is survived by son- Thomas E. husband of Joanne (Stultz) Felix, of New Paris; daughter-Beth wife of Franklin Brumbaugh, of New Enterprise; granddaughter- Tressa Horton, grandson- Keith Felix, grandson- Kyle Felix; great-grandchildren: Colin, Dominique, Azella; along with 9 step-grandchildren and 18 step-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law's: Ruthanna Miller and Thelma Barnes. Ruth is preceded in death by sister Jean Magargel; grandson in-law Mitchell Horton; step-mother Kathryn Magargel and one step-granddaughter.
Ruth was a member of Dunnings Creek Church of the Brethren. She worked for the United States Postal Service for 33 years and retired as the Postmaster in Fishertown on October 2, 1992.
A viewing will be held Friday, July 5, 2024 from 1-2 PM at Dunnings Creek Church of the Brethren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024, at 2 PM at Dunnings Creek Church-Brethren with Pastor David Grimes officiating.
Interment will be at Fishertown Cemetery, New Paris.
