Ruth E. (Emerick) Miller

Ruth E. Miller, 87, of Valley Road, Schellsburg, passed away at 2:25AM on Monday, December 23, 2019 at Pennknoll Village, Snake Spring.

Mrs. Miller was born in Napier Twp. on March 29, 1932,  daughter of the late Homer and Emma (Diehl) Emerick.

On September 22, 1950 she married Mahlon Miller. He preceded her in death on September 4, 2001.

She is survived by  Daughter- Kathy J. wife of  Robert McCluskey, Bechtelsville,PA; Daughter- Margie R. wife of  James Lingerfield, N. Myrtle Beach, SC; Son- Thomas  M. husband of  Kathy (Mock) Miller, Schellsburg; Son- David J. husband of  Roberta (Hostetter         ) Miller, Schellsburg; Sister- Janet  Coughenour, Fallston,MD. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. Ruth was preceded in death by 4 Sisters-  Betty Ickes, Grace Miller, Doris Suder, Alice Miller and 4 Brothers- Harry, Leroy, Donald and Homer Emerick.

She was a  Sewing Machine Operator at Cannondale for 18 years.

Ruth was affiliated with Point Church of the Brethren.

Friends will be received on Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 2:00PM on Friday, December 27, 2019 with Pastor Jim Espenshade officiating.

Interment at Schellsburg Cemetery.
