Rubiefern Tavel, 88, of Victoria Ave., Everett, died Sunday, September 26, 2020 at Homewood at Martinsburg.
Mrs. Tavel was born in Greentop, MD on March 26, 1932 daughter of the late Chester and Viola (Carey) Bailey.
On October 7, 1989 Rubiefern married Charles "Gary" Tavel Sr. He preceded her in death on March 16, 2017.
She is survived by Daughter- Janet Talbot widow of Gary Talbot Sr., Dover, DE; Grandchildren- Gary Talbot Jr., Shannon Talbot and Matthew Talbot; 1 Great grandchild- Collin Scott; Son- Charles husband of Lynn Tavel Jr. Suwanee GA; Daughter- Cheryl wife of Wally Sally, Walkersville MD; Daughter- Tori Sue partner of Diane Tavel, Wappingers Falls NY; Son- David Tavel, Deltona FL; Grandchildren Jayme & Jeff Fletcher, Casey & Matt Greenstreet, Leila Sally & Lindsey Tavel; 5 great grandchildren- Maddie, Harper, Delaney, Wyatt & Braydin; Brother- John Bailey, Richmond, VA. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gary, sister-Lynne Richards, brother- Richard Bailey, daughter- Cindy Michalski and granddaughter- Kaitlyn Tavel.
Ruby had worked as an Accountant for a car dealer.
She attended Everett United Methodist Church.
Ruby enjoyed camping and spending time with family and friends. She was a wonderful lady and will be greatly missed by all.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 11:00AM at ACTS Community Fellowship, Bedford at 11:00AM with Pastor John Bennett officiating.
