Mrs. Rosella M. Thompson-Summy, 93, of Lake Panasoffkee, FL died Thursday, December 29th, 2016 at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness, FL.
Mrs. Thompson-Summy was born in Greensburg on Thursday, June 28, 1923, the daughter of the late Adam and Florence (Eicher) Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands. Rosella was first married to Harry Thompson and then to James B. Summy.
She is survived by Son- Harry A. husband of JoAnn (Summers) Thompson, Claysburg; Daughter- Rose Marie wife of Stanley Ruby, Lake Panasoffkee, FL; Son- James E. Thompson, Waverly, OH; Daughter- Gail M. Spiker, Manns Choice; Daughter- Nancy J. wife of Christopher Kendall, Chambersburg; Daughter- Sandra L. Thompson, Greenville, SC; Sister- Florence McCoby, Beaver Falls; Sister- Pearl McGilton, Morgantown, WV; Sister- Vera Miller, Beaver Falls. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Deloris Jones and Patricia Contafio.
Rosella was affiliated with Queen United Methodist Church. She was employed as a Deli Specialist at Publix in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and she will be missed.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 7th, 2017 with Pastor John Mackey officiating.
Interment will be held at Dry Ridge Cemetery, Manns Choice.
Friends are invited to call on Saturday from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Schellsburg.
