Mr. Ronald M. Brown, 72, of Quaker Valley Road, New Paris, died Friday, January 13th, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.

Mr. Brown was born in Reading on September 7, 1944,  the son of the late Rev. Marshall L. and Helen E. (Horst) Brown.

On February 16, 1967, he married Ruby Darlene (Allison) Brown,  In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Ryan S. husband of  Brenda (Koontz) Brown, El Paso, TX; Son- Richard L. husband of  Shannan (Hoover) Brown, Alum Bank; Grandchildren- Colton, Kaylea, Kaiden, Kaileb & Kassen; Brother- Ervin "Lee" husband of  Lois (Dean) Brown, Richmond, VA; Sister- Arlene wife of  Perry Miller, Schellsburg; Sister- Marsha wife of  Larry Miller, Schellsburg; Sister- Marian "Ginnie" wife of  Allen Feaster, Schellsburg.

Ron was a 1964 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School and then went on to serve in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the Ryot Church of the Nazarene.  Ron worked as a machine operator for 33 years at Standard Register in Bedford and then worked for ten years for New Enterprise Stone and Lime.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and he will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held at Ryot Church of the Nazarene at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 19th, 2017 with Pastor Kevin Davis officiating.

Interment will be held at  Fishertown Cemetery.  Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and Thursday from 10:30 - 11:00 AM, both visitations will be held at the Ryot Church of the Nazarene.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ryot Church of the Nazarene,  406 Dunkard Hollow Rd, Alum Bank, PA 15521 or to the Chestnut Ridge Ambulance Associates,  4037 Quaker Valley Rd, Alum Bank, PA 15521.
