Roger L. Quarry

Mr. Roger L. Quarry, 84, of Cowan School Road, New Enterprise, formerly of Imler, died Sunday, June 19th, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Quarry was born in Roaring Spring on Friday, February 26, 1932,  the son of the late Pearl (Quarry) Glass.

On August 24, 1953, he married Jeanette (Yingling) Quarry.  She preceded him in death on April 30, 1998.

He is survived by  Daughter- Sandra K. Price, New Enterprise; Son- Roger L. husband of Melesa (Stiffler) Quarry, Bedford; Daughter- Sharon A. wife of Ted Fleck, III, Newburg; Daughter- Linda M. Barnett, Imler; Brother- Glenn W. Glass, Roaring Spring. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Allen Quarry, a daughter, Deborah Kissell, three grandchildren, Mia Lee Kissell, Jordan Tyler Quarry & Timmy Lohr, a sister, Jean Drake and a brother, Robert J. Glass.

Roger served in the US Navy during the Korean War as a Fireman. He was a lifelong truck driver.  Roger was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

Services will be held privately.  Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
