Roger Everett Christiana, 70, of Fleegle Road, Bedford, PA, went to his eternal home with Jesus on Monday, December 13, 2021, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Allegheny County.
Mr. Christiana was born in Ellenville, NY on September 12, 1951, son of Jean (Sheeley) Christiana and the late Elmer Everett Christiana.
On September 13, 1980, Roger married Rebecca "Becky" (Fike) Christiana.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother- Jean Christiana, Monroe, VA; Daughter- Heather Christiana, Bedford; Sister- Mary (Bob) Senseney, GA; Sister- Virginia (Will) Pauls, NJ and numerous nieces and nephews. Roger was preceded in death by his father- Elmer and brother- Keith Christiana.
Roger was a 1969 graduate from Oak Crest High School, Egg Harbor, NJ. He then graduated from Washington Bible College in 1975 where he met his wife, Becky.
He spent the next 15 years in Ephrata, PA as a minister of Youth and Music at Grace Fellowship Church. Roger was Co-director at New Life Bible Camp, Buffalo Mills, PA and Associate Pastor at Pennwood Bible Church, Everett, PA.
Roger worked in the Pallet Industry and then for Kauffman Metals and finally he worked as a dealer for Barna Log Homes.
Roger's #1 goal in life was to glorify God and make him known.
In 2013 Roger suffered a cerebral hemorrhage leaving him paralyzed on his right side and 90 percent nonverbal. His wife and daughter had the privilege of keeping him home, caring for him and loving him the way he had loved them the previous 33 years. He enjoyed talking to his mother twice a day and visits from his mom, sister and many in-laws.
Roger was a precious treasure because men like him are truly rare. He was truly cherished and adored. Roger was everything and beyond what a dad should be: selfless, encouraging and full of love. He had an unwavering faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The gift of Roger to his family will not escape his family and they are overflowing with gratitude for him in their life and they cannot wait to see him at heavens gates someday.
Although greatly missed we are so happy Roger is in heaven fully healed with his savior, Jesus Christ.
Roger often said, "God owes me nothing for He has already given me everything through Jesus Christ."
