Robert L. Foor

Robert L. Foor, 85, of Bedford, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at UPMC Altoona Hospital, Altoona.

Robert was born in Friends Cove on January 21, 1938, son of the late Charles E. and Sarah K. (Manges) Foor.

On July 14, 1958 he married his wife Jo Ann (Imler) Foor, who preceded him in death on August 24, 2022.

He is survived by daughter- Lisa wife of Steve Wise, of Everett; daughter- Jamie wife of Mark Clark, of Friends Cove; son- Robert husband of Melinda (Wertz) Foor, of Bedford Valley; sister- Anna Jean Deffibaugh, of Everett; brother- Roy E. Foor, of Bedford; and seven grandchildren- Krisha Bardell wife of Brandon Bardell; Marki Smith wife of Scot Smith; Tyler Wise husband of Ashley; Chelsi Perrin wife of Bradley Perrin; Colby Clark; and Austin and Andrew Foor; and nine great-grandchildren- Olivia, Graeme, and Alfie Wise; Kai and Kaden Bardell, Jarrin and Jase Smith; Bryson and Paisley Perrin. Robert is preceded in death along with his parents Charles and Sarah, and wife Jo Ann by daughter Patricia Beegle and sisters Betty Robinette, Issabelle Means, and brothers- Harry Foor, Ted David, Charles Foor Jr., and half-brother Vernon and Phillip.

Robert was a member of Everett Grace Brethren Church.

Robert enjoyed tinkering with small engines, was a great auto mechanic, drove race car #48C and was a lifelong truck driver and retired from New Enterprise Stone and Lime after 18 years.

Robert served his country in the United States Army where he served as Marine Engine Mechanic.

A visitation will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 from 10 AM to 1 PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 1 PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home with Pastor Adam Kravets officiating.

Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Bible church, Bedford, PA.

Military rites accorded to the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
