Robert C. Anderson

Mr. Robert C. Anderson, 76, of Seifert St., Bedford died Thursday, April 16th, 2015 at his home.

Mr. Anderson was born in Cessna on Saturday, July 9, 1938,  the son of the late Alfred and Edith (Smith) Anderson.

He is survived by  Son- Jeffery C. husband of  Maria (Gutierrez) Anderson, Tallahassee, FL; Daughter- Colleen G. Anderson, Shippensburg; Son- Michael D. husband of  Gina (Corn) Anderson, Hagerstown, MD; Sister- Patricia Price, Everett; Sister- Nora wife of  Paul Shoemaker, Bedford. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dean Anderson.

Bob worked for many years as an office administrator; first at Thomas Chevrolet and then at Shaw Mack, both in Bedford.  Recently, he was employed as a security guard at Kennametal in Bedford.

Bob was lover of all things baseball.  He was a inspiring coach, helping with Little League, Teener and ASA Woman's Softball teams.  Bob then went on to become an umpire.  He umpired Little League games and became PIAA certified and officiated at the High School Level.   Bob was truly home when he had a baseball diamond in his sights.

He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2015 with Rev. Ruth Shaver officiating.

Interment will be held at Fishertown Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Bedford.
