Richard P. "Whipper" Will, 75, N. Juliana Street, Bedford, died at 8:41 AM, Tuesday, November 27th, 2018 at home.
Mr. Will was born in Bedford, on June 26, 1943, son of the late Robert and Katherine (Peters) Will.
He was the husband of Kaye R.(Swartzwelder) Will whom he married on March 15, 1967.
In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Patti A. wife of John Lengel, Dublin, OH; Daughter- Sandie C.Dewitt-Lewis wife of Rick , Worthington, OH; Grandchildren- Alexis; Brett; Dallas; and Zoey; Sister- Patty wife of George Baker, Greencastle, Sister- Joyce widow of Nick Wise, Snake Spring, Brother- Robert husband of Debbie (Smith) Will, Bedford, Sister- Gloria wife of Guy Mellott, Bedford, Sister- Linda wife of Ronald Davis, Manchester, Sister- Barbara widow of Robert Bolton, Manchester. Richard is preceded in death by Brother- John.
Mr. Will served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper and received the National Defense Service Medal, and Expert(Rifle M-14) Medal. Richard was a member of the Bedford American Legion Post 113, Bedford VFW 7527, Bedford Moose Lodge 480, and the Bedford Elks. Whipper enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and he also enjoyed NASCAR.
He was employed in the shipping department at Kennametal for 35 years.
Friends will be received on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 3-5 PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.
A Memorial Service by Ft. Bedford Honor Guard will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, at 5:00 PM on Saturday, December 1, 2018.
