Richard T. "Dick" Smith

Mr. Richard T. "Dick" Smith, 72, of Old Rte. 30, Manns Choice, died at 7:27 AM, Sunday, January 1st, 2012 at Pennknoll Village.
Mr. Smith was born in Napier Township on Tuesday, September 26, 1939, the son of the late Jesse M. Smith, Sr. and Edth Ann (Price) Smith.
He is survived by Sister- Alice Gardner, Osterburg; Sister- Ruth Barnett, Detroit, MI; Sister- Shirley Ickes, Osterburg; Sister- Jane Horn, Manns Choice; Brother- Carl Smith, Yellow Creek; Sister- Marian Eichelberger, Cherry Hill, NJ; Brother- Harry Smith, Manns Choice. Dick is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and his dog, Nancy. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Jesse M. Smith, Jr., Charles Smith, Raymond Smith, Denny Smith, Harold Smith and Russell Smith and by two sisters, Mary Bush and Jeanette Ford
Dick was self employed as a truck driver for 50 years.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 5th, 2012 with Pastor Daniel Campbell officiating.
Interment will be held at Schellsburg Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
