Richard Andrew Demko

Richard A. Demko, 86, of Bedford, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at home.

Richard was born in Lilly, Pennsylvania on March 23, 1936, son of the late Andrew and Anna (Chernisky) Demko.

For 16 years Richard was with Sharon Pepple whom he married January 16, 2021.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his, daughter- Kathy Verrelli, Johnstown; daughter-Patty Slick and boyfriend Patsy Caporuscio, Altoona; son- Rick husband of Denise (Layton), of Everett; daughter- Barb wife of Jason Ladwig, OH; stepson- Jason husband of Ashley (Black) Salas, VA; stepson- Michael husband of Lindsay (Buchanan) Salas, Bedford; stepdaughter- Crystal wife of Bryan Imler, New Enterprise. Along with six grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Richard is preceded in death by his sisters Delores Scarton and Velma Phillips; and first wife Eleanor Whitcomb.

Richard served his country in the United States Air Force where he served as Jet Mechanic.

He was a retired truck driver from Roadway. Richard was a member of the Bedford American Legion Post 113 and Social member at the Everett American Legion. Richard enjoyed golfing, riding bicycle and spending time with family and friends.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 10-11 AM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 11 AM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home Bedford, PA. Interment will be at Everett Cemetery, Everett, PA.

Military Rites accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
