Mrs. Rhea Catherine Diehl, 92, of Altoona, formerly of Buffalo Mills (West End), died at 7:10 AM, Wednesday, January 25th, 2012 at Golden Living Center, Hillview.

Mrs. Diehl was born in Allegheny Township, Somerset County. on Saturday, December 20, 1919,  she was the daughter of the late Ira L. and Myrtle (Leydig) Fleegle..

On December 24, 1938, she married Harold D. "Skinny" Diehl.  He preceded her in death on March 5, 2000.

She is survived by  Daughter- Virginia M. wife of  Louis "Mick" Colvin, West Salem, OH; Son- Elwood D. husband of  Kay (Thomas) Diehl, Hyndman; Daughter- Joyce A. wife of  Paul L. Ritchey, Imler; Daughter- Wilma A. wife of  Mark Corbin, Sylva, NC; Sister- Dorothy Davies, West Mifflin. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Donald Fleegle and by two sisters, Pauline Adams and Faye Mahood

Rhea was a member of the Manns Choice Church of God, where she was an active part of the Ladies Auxilariy of the Church.  She was employed as a waitress and cashier at Howard Johnsons at the Midway Plaza in Bedford and at White Sulpher Springs.  She was also employed at the Fairfoot Shoe Factory.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Manns Choice Church of God at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 28th, 2012  with Rev. Richard Whetstone officiating.

Interment will be held at  Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Buffalo Mills.

Friends are invited to call on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 - 11:00 AM.
