Rev. Daryl William Harclerode, 69, of Fayette City, died Saturday, March 11th, 2017 at his home.

Rev. Harclerode was born in Bedford on March 24, 1947,  the son of the late Walter R. and Lavon (Ferguson) Harclerode.

He is survived by  Son- Brian husband of Carrie Jo (Boguslawski) Harclerode, Worthington; Son- Mark Harclerode, Arnold; Daughter- Shelly Harclerode, Brackenridge; Son- Joe husband of Dana (Ballina) Harclerode, New Kensington; Son- Brandon Harclerode; Grandchildren- Lauren, Aubrey, Kayci, Ethan, Ian, Landon, Christian & Sophie; Sister- Carolyn wife of James Arnold, Bedford; Brother- Roger husband of Jane Harclerode, Shade Gap.

Rev. Harclerode was a graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School, the University of Pittsburgh and received his master's degree in Theology from the Westley Theological Seminary.  He served as clergy at many Methodist Churches throughout Western Pennsylvania.    Daryl was a member of the F&AM Lodge.  He enjoyed golfing and was an avid sports fan, especially Pittsburgh area teams.  He was not a Pennsylvania State University fan.    Daryl was passionate about the spoken word, especially correct pronunciation and correct grammar.  He will be greatly missed by many people.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 16th, 2017 with Pastor Stanley Serafin officiating.

Interment will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Manns Choice.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Schellsburg.
