R. Sally Weyant

R. Sally Weyant, 82, of Sloans Hollow Road, New Paris, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at UPMC Altoona Hospital, Altoona.

Sally was born in Meyersdale on April 25, 1942, daughter of the late Robert E. and Myrtle A. (Murray) McWilliams.

On May 15, 1965, she married James F. Weyant, who preceded her in death on April 6, 2013.

She is survived by son- James F., husband of Valleri (Diehl) Weyant, of Millersville, MD; daughter- Amy W., wife of Brian Williams, of Raleigh, NC; five grandchildren: Theresa, AJ, Samantha, Melissa, and Michael; along with two great-grandchildren: Halle and Scarlett. She is preceded in death by sister Carol Anne.

Sally was a member of Amity United Church of Christ in Meyersdale, and the United Church of Schellsburg. She graduated from Meyersdale High School in 1960 and from West Penn Nursing School in 1964 with a degree in nursing. She retired from the Bedford Area Agency on Aging where she was an advocate for years for the elderly across Bedford, Huntington, and Fulton counties. She was a member of the Bedford Business Professional Women's Club and the Chestnut Ridge Horseman's Club.

A viewing will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 10-11 AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Home, Schellsburg.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 11 AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, with Pastor Linda Kibler officiating.

Inurnment will be at Schellsburg Cemetery, Schellsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Sally Weyant to the Bedford County Library at 240 South Wood St., Bedford, PA 15522.
