Mr. Philip J. Speicher, 76, of Club Road, Schellsburg, died at 6:40 PM, Friday, February 8th, 2013 at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.

Mr. Speicher was born in Somerset County on Monday, November 2, 1936,  the son of the late Lawrence and Zita (Martin) Speicher.

He is survived by  Sister- Theresa Howery, Oxford; Sister- JoAnn Darbyshire, Venice, FL; Sister- Cecelia Harrison, Hadley, NY; Sister- Dorothy wife of  Ronald Costello, Honolulu, HI; Sister- Susan wife of  Franklin "Ted" Doepel, Lorton, VA.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews

Mr. Speicher was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Baltimore.  He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and during the Cuban Missile Crisis.  Philip was a carpenter and a farmer.

A Funeral Mass will be held  at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore. at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 12th, 2013 with Father George Jakopac celebrant.

Interment will be held at  St. Johns Cemetery, New Baltimore.  Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg. A vigil for the deceased will be held on Monday at 8:30 PM.
