Mr. Philip R.  Imgrund, 81, of Ellis Road, Schellsburg, passed away Monday, December 11th, 2017 after a courageous three year battle with cancer.  Phil was born on November 24, 1936 in Schellsburg, the ninth child of Urban and Margaret (Callahan) Imgrund.

He is survived by the love of his life, Doris Bence Clark-Imgrund, who he married on September 3, 2011.

In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Karen M. wife of  Richard Wolf, Fishertown; Son- Brian S. husband of  Robin Imgrund, Bedford; Daughter- Diana L. wife of  Rusty Moe, Avoca, IA; Daughter- Renee L. Imgrund, Claysburg; Grandchildren- Elijah, Ian, Tyler, Laura, Andrea, Adam, Alisha, Emily, Nathan, Evan, and Emily; Great Grandchildren- Noah and Olivia; Sister- Mary Voytko, McLean, VA; Brother- Alfred Imgrund, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Sister- Agnes Shoenthal, Murrysville; Brother- Paul Imgrund, Bedford.   He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ermelinda (Canigiani) Imgrund, who he married on June 11, 1960.  Her death ended a marriage of 47 years.  He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tracy and siblings, Jimmy, Robert, Patricia, John and Larry.

Phil was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Baltimore and also attended church and bible study at the United Church of Christ in Schellsburg.

Phil graduated from Schellsburg-Napier High School in 1954.  After graduation, he served in the US Army from 1955-1957 and was stationed in Georgia, Texas and Germany.  He was an owner/operator truck driver for 40 years, who belonged to the Teamster Union.  Phil also operated a farm; raising cattle, sheep and hogs.  He also cut and sold firewood.  After retiring from truck driving, Phil was a motor coach operator for many years with Bollman Charter Service and Lodestar Bus Lines and Tours.  Phil loved traveling and seeing new places with Doris, especially their time spent on their Alaskan Cruise.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman, who enjoyed spending time in the outdoors.  He was a member of the New Baltimore Sportsman's Club, the Knights of Columbus and a former member of the Schellsburg VFW.  Phil looked forward to going to Florida to visit and  fish with his nephews Dan and Paul.  He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at United Church of Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 15th, 2017 with Pastor Linda Kibler and Pastor Dan Oldham officiating.

Interment will be held at St. Johns Cemetery, New Baltimore. Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2:00 - 8:00 PM at the United Church of Schellsburg.
