Philip J. (S) Harris, Sr.

Mr. Philip J. Harris, Sr., 83, of Barkley Road, Buffalo Mills, died Monday, August 7th, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Harris was born in Baltimore, MD on September 10, 1933,  the son of the late Joseph and Louise (Pavone) Harris.

On April 1, 1951, he married Myrna M. (Kline) Harris.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by  Daughter- Denise M. wife of Scott Davis, Blue Ridge, GA; Son- Philip J. Harris, Jr. husband of Patty Harris, Buffalo Mills; Granddaughter-  Megan Davis; Granddaughter-  Erin Davis; Grandson- Jeremy Harris; Grandson- Justin Harris; Granddaughter-  Mackenzie Harris; Granddaughter-  Becky Oldham; Grandson- Billy Borlie; Great Grandchildren- Nicky & Kayden; Sister- Catherine Koch, Owings Mills, MD.  He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Harris and a sister, Barbara Seitz.

Phil was a part-time farmer and a bricklayer by trade.  He served in the US Navy during the Korean War.  Mr. Harris was a member of the Bedford American Legion Post #113, New Baltimore Sportsmen Club & the NRA.  He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and he will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2017 with Father Aron Maghsoudi officiating.

Interment will be held at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Buffalo Mills.

Friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Schellsburg.
