Mr. Perry L. "Pete" Crawley, 34, of Quaker Valley Road, New Paris died Wednesday, May 16th, 2012 at , UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Mr. Crawley was born in Bedford on Thursday, January 19, 1978, the son of Greg and Tonyia (Crawley) Stottlemyer of Everett.
On September 14, 2011, he married Tricia A. (Zack) Crawley. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his sons at home, Carlos Zabala, Damon Crawley and Quincy DeGeorgio; Sister- Misty, wife of mark Earley of Alum Bank; Sister Amanda, wife of Tony Liberato of Alum Bank; brother Greg Stottlemyer of Everett; Sister Tiereni Hitchew of New Paris; Paternal Grandmother- Janet Stottlemyer of Bedford; Mother-in-Law- Sherri Zack of South Fork; Father-in-Law- Gary Zack and companion Joan Sameuls of Bedford; Sister-in-Law- Shannon, wife of David Hunter of Virginia; Godparents- John Marshall and Liz Marshall. Pete is also survived by the following nieces and nephews; Keeshawn and Mya Allen of Alum Bank; Santo and LeShay Liberato of Alum Bank; Elizabeth Stottlemyer and Jocelyn Thompson of Virginia; Calvin, Rowen and Miles Hunter of Virginia. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who were blessed to be a part of his life. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William Stottlemyer, his maternal grandparents, Jessie and Shirley Crawley, his aunt, Gaye Slack, his uncles Mike Crawley and Allen "Cy" Marshall.
Pete was a 1996 graduate of Bedford High School. While in high school, he excelled at football, among other sports and wore the number 35 proudly, He was affiliated with the Mt. Pisgah Ame Zion Church in Bedford and worked as a pipeline laborer. Pete was wonderful son, protective brother, devoted husband and wonderful father. No words could actually define the person Mr. Perry "Pete" Crawley was, but one thing we will know is that he will be loved and missed by many.
A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford. at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 21st, 2012 with Rev. Vincent Martin and Pastor Joyce Stoudemire officiating.
Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
Friends are invited to call on Monday from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
