Patricia Mae Swinney

On October 17, 2014, our beloved mother, Mema and friend, Patricia Mae Swinney, surrounded by her daughters and loved ones, gave up the earthly life and entered into the loving arms of Jesus.

Pat was born on July 23, 1938 in Brownwood, TX to the late Ralph and Edna (Matsler) Swinney.  She grew up in Abilene, TX but her summers, holidays and free time were spent with her grandparents, the late Tom and Belle Matsler on the Matsler Farm in the Chappel-Bend Area of the Texas Hill Country.

As a military wife, Pat spent eight years in Japan and many other years in various states across America.  In her later years, she lived in Abilene, TX and then in Bedford, PA.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by two sons, Lee Sammy Dye and Tom Gillett and a sister, Helen Hill.  She is survived by her children, Eva Hall of Lakeland, FL: Beth Ann Osborne and husband, Ed of Abilene, TX & Valerie Topper and her partner, Kathy Nail of Bedford.  Pat is also survived by her grandchildren, Ryan Darby and wife Amanda, Chelsea Stemple and wife Tanya, Matthew Gasper, Daizy Osborne & Ashley and Madison Nail and by five great grandchildren.

Pat was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.

Private services will be held at a later date.
